Hi,
I am new to JAXB, and I have been struggling with it
since last Friday. On the Java Sun website, I had to
download the entire Java Web Services Developer Pack
(JWSDP 2.0), even though I didn't need the JWSDP, just
so that I can get JAXB.
I have been able to use the XJC compiler (from a
build.xml Ant script) to generate Java code for one of
our existing xml Schema XSD files. But the resulting
code seems to contain Annotations. My Java compiler
does not seem to like the Annotation portions of the
code. Our project is currently using Java 1.4.2.
My question is, do I need to have Annotations in the
generated Java code, in order for JAXB to work?
And if not, then how do I turn off Annotations in the
XJC binding compiler so that the generated Java code
does not contain any Annotations?
Please help.
Thanks.
