Is there a JAX-WS 2.3 maintenance release scheduled for Java SE 9 or
JavaEE 8?
Or more in general, will there ever be a JAX-WS 2.3 spec or is the API
in retirement status?
Maybe REST surpassed SOAP, but still many enterprises are activily
using it and there are plenty interesting issues logged on JIRA.

lead in JIRA.
Who is the specification lead nowadays? Is JAX-WS still followed?
