Thanks for the reply but JBoss does have it already in the lib directory with all it's other jars. I did get the classloader to find the servlet jar by putting it in the endorsed directory for JBoss where I put all the other JAXWS jars.

javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet comes from servlet.jar. you want this jar
to be in your classpath for servlet based endpoint.
