I can only speak to open source, but tomcat and jboss have commented out jvm
params to enable remote debugging (in startup scripts) and eclipse out of
the box can connect to remote jvm for debugging. I was able to attach and
set breakpoints in servlet container or ejb container.
Cheers,

Subject: Remote debuging?

Hi All,

I am currently using Eclipse and was wondering if anyone knows of a way to
"remote debug" into a web service? The application server is Sun
Application Server v8.0

If people aren't using Eclipse then what are people using to develop and
debug on Sun's App server?

Thanks,

Brad
