Somehow JDK1.4.x is loading your JDK 1.5 classes. Check how JDK1.4 is
coming into the picture, may be ant process is using 1.4.

You may also want to try a wrapper for ant by setting the appropriate
classpath.
$JAVACMD -classpath $CLASSPATH org.apache.tools.ant.Main "$@"
