Subject: SOAP for Non-Java Client/Server

hi,
Is JAXP-RPC (or other JWSDK API) only suitable for SOAP messaging
between a Java-Client and a Java-Server? (That's what i've understand it
so far). Is the SAAJ API the solution to write a Java-Client or
Java-Server to communicate with a non-Java-Server/Client via SOAP?

Thanks in advance
Rao.,
