Well, it depends on how you structure your application. I quite successfully
don't use the faces-config anymore ;) Just slap the annotations here and there
and it works quite nicely.

Ok, that makes sense. The misunderstanding stemmed from my thinking that
it was possible to do away with faces-config entirely.
