Jim,

Thanks for the reply. I've discovered in the java sun forums that this bug
has been fixed in a later release of the jsf library. The version I'm using
is Sun's implementation of JSF 1.2 (javax.faces 1.2_02) which has this bug.
The newer version (1.2_13) does not have this bug. Note: I don't know what
version first had this bug fix.
