FYI, I have submitted (among others) a session on JSF 2.3 for JavaOne:

JavaServer Faces (JSF) is still one of the most popular Java web
application frameworks. JSF 2.3, currently under development, will ship
with Java EE 8. 2.3 includes some great community-driven features such as
multi-component validation, enhanced CDI integration, Web Socket
integration, Java Time API support, and support for other Collection types
for UIDat and UIRepeat.

In this session, we’ll examine these new features, as well as some JSF 2.2
features such as HTML5-friendly markup, Faces Flows, and Resource Library
Contracts. Come to this session to see demos of these features live, in
action.
