I agree, I think that the requirements to place the tag after everything else could become problematic or at least overly cumbersome.

+1 - the more injection the better IMO
* Regarding the new DateTime support, I think the implementation is solid. However, should a validation be made to ensure the user is running Java SE 8, and if not, then fail validation if a localDate, localDateTime, etc. other new DateTime type is specified? It is unclear in the specification what happens if one of the new date types is specified and the application is running on an older Java runtime.
