Hi Everyone!
My java.net user name is: lamine_ba
and my full name is Mamadou Lamine Ba. I'm a software achitect from Senegal and
I will be representing myself on this JSR. I'm new to JavaServer Faces spec
development and I look forward to working with all of you. What are the ideas I
want to bring in this spec? The same ideas I'm working on for a while with Ed
Burns, in a side project we have called Metamorfaces. You can watch an abstract
video presentation of this project at this url (
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6t-xB8wP8Rg ). What have you learned from your
own mistakes? From mine, this simple belief that being a smart web developer
doesn't mean at all that you are a smart web designer. Wouldn't be nice if you
can design and share your templates with your friends? But where are the
services for that? the clients to view and download the plugins? It seems that
JSF needs now a plugin and a remoting systems to enlarge its ecosystem. Broadly
speaking, in this spec we want to set the building blocks that will help us move
forward to a standard application framework. To finish, Standardization should
also mean the standardization of our commonalities. Even though our JSF
applications don't have the same nature, at least they do have the same
structure and it is visible when looking at them from another perspective.
Please put the business logic aside and take the user interface as starting
point and tell me abstractly what our applications have all in common.......
Thank you.
