Hi all.

I don't think I can attend the meeting, but I have some comment about Java EE 8.
I read the wish-list blogs and want to share my thought.

1. CDI and EJB
In the long term, the whole EJB features can be replaced by CDI.
Currently, only the distributed (or remote) object model cannot be replaced by CDI.
I think if Clustered or Distributed CDI bean is possible and can be standardized, then the old EJB model can be removed.

2. unified(?) configuration
I think an extensible but a standardized configuration is a very good thing.

3. batch and EE concurrency
I think the batch model in the Java EE can be more refined and further developed with EE concurrency model or Java SE 8 concurrency (parallelism?).
I don't think Java EE 7 batch is fully integrated into the platform.

4. lambda support
I didn't think much about the lambda support of Java EE 8 platform, but it would be a great challenge.

Have a great time, everyone.

Regards,
 Yoon Kyung Koo (TmaxSoft)
