Yes we also dealt with something similar in Bangalore. To allow faster
deployment on a local machine to either Tomcat or Jetty while using the JTA
features of the entire application.
It took quite some effort, understand, why Pete won't advise to use it. In
our case, having Spring use AspectJ to get the transactions working was
probably the harder part, but I don't want to fuel that "religious"
discussion here again too much[?]
