Any news about the JSON JSR Proposal?

Beside the Identity JSR (just created) and JAX-RS 2.0 in EDR stage, the
Social JSR which is rapidly progressing towards a proposal itself, hopes to
make use and find synergies with a standardized JSON API due to the large
number of Social services and protocols using it.

Similar to coordination between JSRs like 330 and the earlier proposed 299
it doesn't mean, we have to wait longer than necessary, but if let's say,
the JSON JSR was suffering from any (Legal?[?]) roadblocks big enough to
potentially postpone the whole thing into EE 8, we're not the only ones who
would like to hear it sooner better than later.
