In order to pick up a fix required for Jersey

https://java.net/jira/browse/HK2-163) we will attempt a release of HK2
today. If all goes well this version will be 2.2.0-b25.
This version of hk2 includes the start of an AOP mini-feature, which
currently allows you to intercept methods of your services. This
feature is still under development and will have some changes in the
near future (and has not been documented). However, feel free to kick
the tires if you plan to use it.
