When your creating things that bend the vague limits of emerging
technologies all input is welcome.

Why not instead using Apache2 + mod_proxy, and instance of v3? That way
you get best of both world IMO. Using v2 as a load balancer (just) might
be a little heavy,

So really all I need is a server with servlet and comet functionality
(oh and a browser that offers more connection threads... anyone? :) ).
This is really interesting. I'm cc-ing the webtier alias as some folks
may (or may not) have some ideas.
