Ryan, we started getting the same error w/o stack trace with a new webapp release on GlassFish Enterprise Server v2.1.1 Patch03 ((v2.1 Patch09)(9.1_02 Patch15)) (build b01-p03) w/ Mojarra (1.2_13-b01-FCS), so I don't think it's a log config issue...
