I requested observer status to make comments, but yes, that looks like what I was trying to do. As long as the property is set before the valuechangelistener fires.

My syntax was a result of the actionsource exception that you found. I sent that one in a little while ago but I think it was thought not to be a bug at the time.

As I tweeted to you, you've found a bug, *but* your syntax is slightly
incorrect.
