Hi
As the titel says - this is kind of a shortcut to information to ask here before trying the net extensivly.
But ...
We are using SUN appserver 8.2 for a huge EJB system and I have a fairly good insight in how well it behaves with EJB.
We also have a few webservices running in the container, SLSB as endpoint.
Our exposure to Internet is through a .NET environment (due to heratag) but we are planning to move the e-commerse part of the website to Java.
That will requier a webserver that handles the incoming userrequests. We need a separate server to handle the Internet and that server in turn should access the backendsystem through webservices.
The question is really - Can the webserver part of Glassfish handle lots of users ?
What kind of throughput can we expect ? Any references from production sites ?
Or is it Apache that is the answer ?
BTW we plan to use JSF as client interface - the right descision ?
TIA and hope you don't mind the shortcut
Jan
