Replicates session in a cluster

Hello,

I would like to know why the "file" persistence type is not recommended in a production environment to share sessions in a cluster. I spent hours to make the "replicated" type to work without any success whereas my colleagues using PHP just shared their session directory among the cluster and it worked in less than one day...

Thanks for your answer.
