Re: useful tutorial(s)

I've been using RMI for a number of years to write client/server applications with Swing.

Now I'm moving to the Netbeans Platform and would like to explore writing some application client programs. I've seen references to application clients but have so far been unsuccessful finding a tutorial that fully explains how to do it to create distributed computing applications. A good tutorial showing how to create an application client with access to enterprise beans would be of great benefit to me and, as Oracle seeks to make Java more of a force on the desktop, application clients are going to be critical. I'm delighted to see finally some push back against the idea that browsers provide an adequate enterprise application interface. They're, simply put, too crude.

Today I was perusing the documentation and, again, saw references to application clients but nothing concrete. "Send us feedback" was so obvious in the side bar I just couldn't resist!
