Hi,
I found this thread (
http://www.java.net/node/704007) searching for
possible causes of Glassfish hang during stop operation.
Does anyone knows what could cause such issue? And most important, how
avoid situations like that?
I got a case where Glassfish didn´t stop after 12 minutes since stop
command was detected on server.log
- This instance uses Glassfish Version 2.1.1 running on a Windows 2003
Server within JDK 1.6.0.18
- The domain is a cluster although it´s a standalone server.
- For JMS services we have a OpenMQ 4.5 running in remote mode
- Start/Stop commands are performed through Windows Services Tool since
Glassfish is installed as a service.
I attached server.log files in case someone would like to take a look.
On this file is possibile to see:
*a) Glassfish detected a shutdown request*

Any insight would be very appreciated. Thanks.
