When I was at Sun, I wrote a tool once that would take an archive
file, expand it along with recursively expanding any contained archive
file(s), iterate over all the files, and then run any XSLT
transformations you wanted on whatever files you specified (you'd just
make a list of what file name should be transformed by what style
sheet). Then it would zip everything back up again along with the
original manifests and all that.
It was written in Jython, so the user inputs (style sheet mapping)
were all plaintext. That could fix your problem, but if I could find a
copy of the app it still belongs to Sun, now Oracle. If anyone wants
to see if it can be shared, I can find someone to dig it up.
Cheers,
Bobby
