You were right!
Prior to the exception reported in the previous post, I found:
org.eclipse.persistence.session.file:/usr/src/glassfish3/glassfish/domains/domain1/applications/ejb-timer-service-app/WEB-INF/classes/___EJB__Timer__App
java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: null source
at java.util.EventObject.<init>(EventObject.java:56)
at javax.sql.StatementEvent.<init>(StatementEvent.java:64)
Thanks to this, I found the the problem.
It was bug in older version of Mysql J Connector.
Installing the newer version I solved the problem.
