Thanks -- I suppose creating an instance on the same machine is lighter
weight than a whole domain. If there's nothing simpler, I may go with this.
We only need it for a short time until users are used to the new URL.

Thanks also to Tomas for the port-forwarding option. My only issue with that
is that, I think, the url in the user's browser won't change, and we want
the users to note (and bookmark) the proper domain.
