Yes that's exactly what I was seeing in the application log, I've attached
an excerpt.
I tried a number of things including a fresh 3.1.2 download and different JVM
to no avail.
Now it is Monday, the day the timeout is supposed to actually occur the timer
appears to be behaving correctly and is no longer expiring every second.
For the record:
Mac OS X 10.7.3 java version "1.6.0_31" Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment
(build 1.6.0_31-b04-411-11M3616) JVM option -Duser.timezone=Europe/London
