Using NB 6.7.1 GF 2.1.1 MySQL 5.0 to create JSF from entities was a simple process. I would create the entity project using NB 6.7.1 wizard and then the entities from the MySQL database. Then I would create a Java Web Application. I would add the entity project in the properties library. I would then create JSF Web page(s) using the entities from the entity project. I would start the server, deploy the war file created using the Admin Console, select Launch, and voila, the Web app came up and I could click and see a list of my database table entries, normally without any issue or changes required.
I follow the same steps using NB 7.0.1 GF 3.1.1 MySQL 5.0. I get the stack trace below from using only the given wizards from NB 7.0.1. I used Windows XP in the first case and Windows 7 in the second, but my programming manager used Windows XP with Netbeans 7.0.1 and GF 3.1.1 with the same results.
I resorted to what I thought would be a given working process because in am running head on into the exact same Exception in my production EJBs that work perfectly fine using NB 6.7.1 GF 2.1.1 in production which fail miserably in GF 3.1.1.
