thank you for the hint, I checked out the example, but unfortunatley this is
not EJB3.

the timeout in this example works well but everyting within is done via  XML
config. Before I read all the details about glassfishs session bean timout
mechanisms, I assumed, that like in JBOSS it is possible to specify the
timout via a annotation, but I can't find it in the spec of glassfish, so at
the end I had to place it into the sun-ejb-jar.xml and there it stands and
makes no effect.

So the XML configuration like in the example let is not really applicable for
my POJOs.

I can't believe that there is no example with ejb3 and the
'cmt-timeout-in-seconds' on the internet
