In my opninion the Glassfish application server should be responsible for
managing the 'EJB__TIMER__TBL' table.
It should be enough to configure the connection settings in the Glassfish
admin console.
Especially because Glassfish also manages the 'ejb-timer-service-app'
webapplication.
For a Glassfish administrator this should be transparent.
