Set virtual server default web module via descriptor?

I have an ear containing a webapp that I want to be the default web module for my GF 2.1 virtual server.

Is there a way via the deployment descriptors (maybe sun-web.xml) to declare my app as the default web module?

I know I can do this via asadmin / the admin console but I'm wondering if there's a way my app can declare itself the default.
