Thanks! You put me on the right track. By placing the servlets in a separate
jar and placing that jar in the WEB-INF/lib folder in the war, injection
worked. A slightly messier ant script but that I can live with. Must say I
preferred the old way where I could have all server side classes in a single
jar.
