Hi Sathyan,

Success!  Changing the install directory name did the trick.  I can start
the server from the start menu and connect to http://localhost:8080 [1] andn
also http://localhost:4848 [2] .Thank you especially for replying over the
weekend.

The "next steps" link is still broken:  
http://www.oracle.com/pls/topic/lookup?ctx=821-2427 [3]  Probably topics in
forums move around.  Perhaps somebody could put the forum topic back?

The earlier install was a .exe not a .msi sorry.  I'm not inclined to try
and re-test that one now I finally have a working install.
