I have increased the pool size from 32 - 500 to see if that would solve my problem and yes it does it goes up to about 98 for 15 seconds than drops back down to zero after it finishes, my process is trying to make about 264 connections in just a few seconds.
I also turned on the leak tracing but it didn't pick up any of the connections as leaks.
