Hmm, I don't think I've made my point clear enough:
When you launch Glassfish via the Eclipse plugin, there are 2 different consoles in the Console view:
1) "Glassfish Server Open Source Edition 3 (Java EE 6) at localhost
2) <instance root>/logs/server.log
1) displays stdout and stderr from Glassfish, essentially what you would see when calling asadmin start-domain in a shell window
2) is a view of the server log.
Depending on your logging setup, the content of 1) and 2) will differ.
My point is that somewhere between Glassfish 3.1-b12 and 3.1-b24, a change occured that now causes 1) to be empty except for the message I quoted. 2) still works, but nevertheless 1) should be repaired.
