Thanks man.... I changed the address attribute in my domain.xml and was able to start up again.
<jmx-connector accept-all="false" address="Drake" auth-realm-name="admin-realm" enabled="true" name="system" port="8686" protocol="rmi_jrmp" security-enabled="false">
The last thing I could only remember was playing with the JMX settings (Admin Service) then was told that the changes require a restart which somehow never managed to come up until I went to change the address attribute to my hostname.
