You're welcome! There was a similar visibility bug in 3.0 where @Inject would fail when the two participants were in separate jars within a war. This has been fixed in 3.0.1 (don't remember the bugzilla number...) but I assume you're on a 3.1 promoted build anyway, so then this looks like a new bug...
