No, the "vendored" reference is to adding Ruby classes to the standard
Rails layout, e.g. {RAILS_ROOT}/vendor/rails .
There are no jars involved in provoking the failure; no Java anything,
actually, which is what has me so puzzled ( <= understatement ).
