I realized last night that the factory I was using also didn't exist. I had been using an example for glassfish v3:

So I guess I'm wondering how to create a URL resource in v2? I figured it was possible since websphere 6.1 (ibm jdk 1.5) has url resources as a seemingly built in type. It seems like I need to find the factory for creating java.net.URL objects.
