The change in GlassFish for 3.0.1 was checked in on May 20. The promoted build 19 was built on May 19, prior to the fix.

Please try promoted build 20 from the downloads page

http://download.java.net/glassfish/3.0.1/promoted/

and let us know if that helps.

Also, you might need to clear out the Java Web Start client cache to make sure the correct JARs are fetched from the GlassFish server. See my post here from another related thread:
