OK, I reinstalled using the -windows.exe, hoping that perhaps that bundle would have the appservService.exe file that is present in all the documentation (such as the FAQ: http://wiki.glassfish.java.net/Wiki.jsp?page=FaqRunAsWindowsService) but of course it does not.

So, given that Glassfish builds no longer have appservService.exe in them, and given that the FAQ is wrong, and given that no mention is made in the official documentation (http://dlc.sun.com/pdf/820-7690/820-7690.pdf) what is the recommended way for installing Glassfish as a service on Windows?
