First, thanks for running the experiments.
Second, I agree with you that NetBeans (or perhaps the NetBeans plug-in that talks to GlassFish) seems to be the source of the problem. I will point one of the plug-in people I know to this topic and see if he has any thoughts.
I'm not sure what to say about the admin console issues. I'll point some of those folks here also and we'll see what they say.
