Hi, Arun; try it so that Surefire uses an empty surefirebooter jar file to run its tests. I got mine to do this by setting the surefire configuration option <forkMode>perTest</forkMode>. I believe you'll see the same behavior.
Thanks all for chiming in here. Good to know as I suspected that the somewhat breathless zero-config, fire it up, nothing else needed types of posts I've seen are...not entirely accurate, to put it gently. :-) I do appreciate your time and effort on these forums.
