Thanks for the replies.

I think I further determined where things went wrong.

I setup HTTPd to use AJP to proxy requests to sub directory to glassfish.

This works as expected.
Unfortunately a side effect seems to be that when I enter the URL
through HTTPd Glassfish does not recognize it and throws a 404

I was unable to find any logging that contains the 'error'

I suspect it has something to do with a setting in Glassfish, but I
have no idea where.
