Ok I just tried again after reading your reply. I cleared the browser cache, I went to 'services' in netbeans and started up 'GlassFish V2'. Instead of chossing 'run' on netbeans, I opened IE and went straight to "http://localhost:8080/simplewebapp/admin/admin.jsp". I still see the admin.jsp page, instead of being routed to the login page.
