These are my source codes,

In the package 'controller' I have two classes,

package controller;

/**
*
* @author Personal
*/
public class Name {

    private String value;

    /**
     * @return the value
     */
    public String getValue() {
        return value;
    }

    /**
     * @param value the value to set
     */
    public void setValue(String value) {
        this.value = value;
    }
}

and,

package controller;

import org.springframework.web.servlet.ModelAndView;
import org.springframework.web.servlet.mvc.SimpleFormController;
import service.HelloService;

/**
*
* @author Personal
*/
public class HelloController extends SimpleFormController {

    private HelloService helloService;

    public HelloController() {
        //Initialize controller properties here or
        //in the Web Application Context

        setCommandClass(Name.class);
        setCommandName("name");
        setSuccessView("helloView");
        setFormView("nameView");
    }

    //Use onSubmit instead of doSubmitAction
    //when you need access to the Request, Response, or BindException objects
    @Override
    protected ModelAndView onSubmit(Object command) throws Exception {
        Name name = (Name)command;
        ModelAndView mv = new ModelAndView(getSuccessView());
        mv.addObject("helloMessage", helloService.sayHello(name.getValue()));
        return mv;
    }

    public void setHelloService(HelloService helloService) {
        this.helloService = helloService;
    }

}

And in the package 'service' I have the following bean,

package service;

/**
*
* @author Personal
*/
public class HelloService {

    public String sayHello(String name) {
        return "Hello " + name + "!";
    }

}

And these are my configuration files,

applicationContext.xml.-

</beans>

web.xml.-

        <param-value>/WEB-INF/applicationContext.xml</param-value>
    </context-param>
    <listener>
        <listener-class>org.springframework.web.context.ContextLoaderListener</listener-class>
    </listener>
    <servlet>
        <servlet-name>dispatcher</servlet-name>
        <servlet-class>org.springframework.web.servlet.DispatcherServlet</servlet-class>
        <load-on-startup>2</load-on-startup>
    </servlet>
    <servlet-mapping>
        <servlet-name>dispatcher</servlet-name>
        <url-pattern>*.htm</url-pattern>
    </servlet-mapping>
    <session-config>
        <session-timeout>
            30
        </session-timeout>
    </session-config>
    <welcome-file-list>
        <welcome-file>redirect.jsp</welcome-file>
    </welcome-file-list>
</web-app>

On the other hand I have two JSPs.

For the input,

<%@taglib uri="http://www.springframework.org/tags" prefix="spring" %>

Enter Your Name

        <h2>Enter Your Name</h2>

        <spring:nestedPath path="name">

                Name:
                <spring:bind path="value">

                </spring:bind>

        </spring:nestedPath>

And for the output,

Hello

        <h2>${helloMessage}</h2>

In the properties of the project I have in the node run set the following,

Context Path: /HelloSpring (the project name)
Relative URL: /hello.htm

Thanks in advance,
