Thats an incorrect conclusion. There is no need to delete all other properties while trying to create a jdbc connection pool. I tried the same configuration with b67 of V3 and was able to ping successfully. Please try this build and report if you do have any issues. There were a few issues with parsing of the datasource properties that were fixed in this build.
