Some more information. I downloaded http://download.java.net/glassfish/v3/nightly/glassfish-v3-b62-09_02_2009.zip from http://download.java.net/glassfish/v3/nightly/. I was able to run

asadmin start-domain
asadmin stop-domain

multiple times.

Then I started Eclipse and configured the newly installed server in the Glassfish adapter. I started it in Eclipse. It hung. I quit Eclipse, killed all Java processes, and tried running

asadmin start-domain

again. It hung at

Waiting for DAS to start.

I then ran

rm -rf glassfishv3/glassfish/domains/domain1/osgi-cache

and then asadmin start-domain worked again.

I don't know what that cache does, or how Eclipse can poison it. Any suggestions?
