Our server is neither a DC nor a AD host. Certainly in that LAN there is a DC as lots of the machines in that LAN are forming a domain (while our server is just sharing the same LAN and IP space, but does not participate in the domain).

Our server is not using any firewall. The only relation to the domain is that our server has a mapped file share pointing to one of the domain's file servers (but I don't think that this can cause that outcome).
