Not the answer I was hoping for... :-)
I was afraid of that, though. Its the same problem with preloading the database with an initial dataset. E.g. inserting initial users and groups when the application is deployed.
There should be an annotation in the J2EE API like @PostDeploy, in which you could do these activities.
