On a Sun T2000 server, a single instance of GlassFish scored 883
(1.4Ghz CPU). A single Instance of IBM WebSphere 6.1 scored 616 (on a
1.2Ghz CPU). That's a 15% difference in clock speed, and a 45%
difference in performance.

For WebSphere 7, IBM has not benchmarked a single-node result for
GlassFish to compare against.

When you throw in price to get a price/performance score, GlassFish is
pretty darn compelling at ~1/10th the price.
